Like the IO-Navigator-Mobile app (with telescope), this app offers you the most important components you need to find your way around the starry sky.This app is the IO Rotating Star Map app (with telescope connection via the IO ScopeInTheBox platform).The devices of the IO-ScopeInTheBox platform will soon be available in stores or via our website (https://io-astronomie.de).
Among other things, this app exists for its use.However, it does not show the starry sky from the usual 3D perspective of the IO Navigator, but as a rotatable star map.
These star charts have been known for many years.
They are often included with a telescope purchase.About 1,200 objects are displayed from a height of about 30 degrees.
For most of these objects, we have created descriptive texts by hand over the years, which show very interesting details about the celestial objects.You will NOT be bothered with any ads.
This app is a version of our PC program IO-Navigator-PC adapted to mobile devices.With the button for the astro types, you can set which types of objects you would like to see.
You can also save in profiles which astro object types should be displayed.
The profiles can be created very easily and then replaced if necessary.The brightnesses of all objects are given in logarithmic size classes.
Here, according to current literature, we distinguish between surface brightness, point-precise brightness and variable brightness.The names of the objects are also given in accordance with current specialist literature.
Here we differentiate between Flamsteed, Bayer, NGC, Messier and spoken plain text names (e.g.
Andromeda galaxy, M31).If objects are really missing, you can create them later at any time.
One type of astro object is the user-defined objects.This variant of this app is able to control a telescope via WLAN by using our IO WLAN box.
A Goto telescope is connected to this box by cable.In addition to the possibility of using our IO-Wlan-Box, it is also possible with this app to control our IO-Push-To-Box and the IO-Magnetic-Rotator-Push-To technology.In both cases, the telescope movement can be tracked by a crosshair on the screen.
If the crosshairs are at the position of a certain object on the star map, then this object is also visible in the telescope.Further information on all technologies can be found on our website at https://io-astronomie.de.
